Job summary

Esko, a Veralto company, is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and repair CDI laser engraving and XPS UV exposure systems across the Charlotte/Greensboro region in the United States.

You will travel regionally and nationally, deliver hands-on training, and work closely with customers to keep their production environments performing at peak levels.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with industrial equipment.
• Strong electrical troubleshooting (AC/DC, relays, motors).
• Mechanical aptitude and precision adjustments.
• Experience with PC hardware and Windows OS.
• Ability to work independently while delivering excellent customer service.

Responsibilities

• Install and commission CDI laser engraving and XPS UV exposure systems at customer sites.
• Deliver hands-on training to customers on system operation and maintenance.
• Perform electrical, mechanical, and optical troubleshooting to resolve complex issues.
• Execute preventative maintenance and system upgrades to maximize uptime.
• Serve as a primary technical point of contact, building strong customer relationships.
• Travel extensively within your region and across the U.S. to support customer sites.

The Opportunity

We are seeking a Field Service Engineer based in the Charlotte or Greensboro, NC area to support customers across a regional territory. In this role, you will serve as a trusted technical expert, responsible for installing, maintaining, and repairing advanced CDI laser engraving and XPS UV exposure systems.

You will combine technical skill, independence, and customer-facing expertise to ensure our customers’ operations run smoothly and efficiently.

Your Responsibilities

• Install and commission CDI laser engraving and XPS UV exposure systems at customer sites
• Deliver hands-on training to customers on system operation and maintenance
• Perform electrical, mechanical, and optical troubleshooting to resolve complex issues
• Execute preventative maintenance and system upgrades to maximize uptime
• Serve as a primary technical point of contact, building strong customer relationships
• Travel extensively within your region and across the U.S. to support customer sites

Travel Expectations

• Regional travel (car): 60%
• Domestic travel (air): 40%
• Overnight travel: 65%

Your Profile (Required Qualifications)

• Technical training or equivalent hands-on experience with industrial equipment
• Strong electrical troubleshooting skills (AC/DC, relays, motors, signal flow)
• Solid mechanical aptitude, including precision adjustments and assembly
• Experience working with PC hardware and Windows-based systems
• Ability to work independently while delivering excellent customer service

Nice To Have (Preferred Qualifications)

• Experience in printing, packaging, or platemaking environments
• Basic networking knowledge (troubleshooting connected systems and peripherals)

The below range reflects the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. We may ultimately pay more or less than the posted range. This range may be modified in the future. An associate’s position within the salary range will be based on several factors, including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, shift, travel requirements, sales or revenue-based metrics, any collective bargaining agreements, and business or organizational needs.

The compensation range for this role is $32.00 - $36.00 USD per hour. This job is also eligible for Bonus Pay.
