Job summary

Framatome in Lynchburg, VA is seeking a Field Service Engineer to design, test, and qualify fuel inspection equipment. You will troubleshoot, modify, and support maintenance programs while leading a tooling group and interfacing with machine shops.

The role requires up to 25% travel to nuclear facilities and collaboration with the Fuel Field Service Operations. Strong CAD skills and data acquisition experience are preferred.

Qualifications

• Completion of a Bachelor's degree in Engineering.
• At least 2 years of directly related experience.
• Good communication skills including the ability to comprehend and convey detailed technical data (meetings, emails, presentations, and customer deliverables).
• Ability to develop and maintain good interpersonal relationships.
• Works collaboratively within a team environment.
• Good problem identification and resolution skills.
• Advanced level of Microsoft Office and business unit specific software tools (CAD, FEA, CFD) and computer programming skills.

Responsibilities

• Design, test, and qualification of fuel inspection equipment and tooling.
• Troubleshooting, diagnosis, modification, and support of maintenance programs.
• Lead tooling group to support field product functions and machine shop interface.
• Collaborate with Fuel Field Service Operations during the process.
• Travel up to 25% to conduct work at nuclear facilities worldwide.
• Produce shop-ready drawings and coordinate with machine shops to implement designs.
