The Field Service Engineer is responsible for customer satisfaction, ensuring increased throughput, decreased downtime, and regular maintenance and upgrades as recommended by Beckman Coulter technical staff. The role involves managing customer accounts comprehensively, identifying opportunities to add value, and supporting sales initiatives.

This position reports to the District Service Manager and is part of the Life Sciences Service Organization. It is a remote role covering all of New England, upstate New York, Quebec, parts of Ontario, and the Maritimes.

Responsibilities include:

• Managing customer accounts and identifying opportunities to offer additional services and products.
• Ensuring prompt response to customer needs with a focus on first-time fixes.
• Cultivating customer relationships to meet revenue goals, including growth of maintenance agreements and lead generation, with an annual growth target of 8-10%.

Qualifications required:

• Associate’s degree in mechanical, electrical, biological sciences, or military equivalent.
• At least 1 year of computer literacy (Microsoft Office, PowerBI, Salesforce, ServiceMax) and good documentation practices.
• At least 1 year of troubleshooting experience using documentation.

Travel and physical requirements:

• Daily local travel; overnight travel 40-50% within the territory.
• Valid passport for travel to Canada.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds.

Preferred experience:

• Over 2 years of field service experience or military equivalent.
• Bachelor’s degree in a science discipline, with experience in Flow Cytometry or Automation.
• Experience in inventory management.
