Job description

Job Summary

Responsible for providing technical direction and support to customers regarding the operation and maintenance of company products. Acts as the primary contact for technical and service-related issues, demonstrating product uses and advantages. Collaborates closely with sales, marketing, QA/QC, and R&D to address customer concerns, determine corrective actions, and follow-up. May be responsible for a designated region.

Responsibilities
  1. Install, check out, operate, maintain, repair, and upgrade equipment within the time requirements established by service management.
  2. Provide preventative maintenance according to published procedures. Keep performance and maintenance records on equipment.
  3. Guide and train customer personnel in operation, maintenance, inspection procedures, and techniques.
  4. Analyze equipment failures to determine causes and recommend corrective actions.
  5. Assist in designing changes to improve equipment efficiency and reduce operational costs.
  6. Participate in installation planning phases as needed.
  7. Maintain good customer relations through effective communication regarding services, arrival times, issues, and presenting a positive attitude, along with maintaining a professional appearance as defined by service management.
  8. Manage company assets effectively, including vehicles, computers, inventory, test equipment, and tools.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar field-based repair role.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain credit approval for a Corporate Credit Card.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Independent thinking and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending and pushing.
  • Manual dexterity and willingness to work up to and over 8 hours per day, including weekends, holidays, and after-hours.
  • Occasional overnight travel.
  • Maintain compliance with all credentialing requirements to access customer sites, including vaccinations if applicable.
  • Participate in work activities as assigned by management.
