Job description

Job Summary

Responsible for providing technical direction and support to customers on operation and maintenance of company products. Serve as customer contact on technical and service-related problems. Demonstrate uses and advantages of products. Work closely with sales and marketing, QA/QC, and research and development to address customer concerns, determine corrective actions, and follow-up with customers. May be responsible for a designated region.

Responsibilities
  1. Install, check out, operate, maintain, repair, and upgrade equipment within time requirements established by service management.
  2. Provide preventative maintenance according to published procedures. Keep performance and maintenance records on the equipment.
  3. Guide and train customer personnel in establishing operation, maintenance, inspection procedures, and techniques.
  4. Analyze equipment failures to determine causes and recommend corrective actions.
  5. Advise and assist in design changes to improve equipment efficiency and/or reduce operational costs.
  6. Participate in installation planning phases.
  7. Maintain customer goodwill through effective communication regarding services rendered, arrival times, and issues, and by presenting a positive attitude and professional appearance.
  8. Manage company assets effectively, including company vehicle, computer, parts inventory, test equipment, and tools.
Job Requirements
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in a similar field-based repair position.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Windows and Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access).
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Ability to obtain credit approval for a Corporate Credit card.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Independent thinking and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to lift 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as bending and pushing.
  • Manual dexterity.
  • Willingness to work up to and over 8 hours/day, including weekends, holidays, and after-hours.
  • Occasional overnight travel.
  • Maintain all credentialing and compliance requirements for access to customer sites, including vaccinations if applicable.
  • Participate in work activities as assigned by management.
