SUSS MicroTec SE is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, maintain, and troubleshoot equipment at customer sites in the semiconductor manufacturing space. • Ability to stand for four to eight hours per day while inspecting or working on equipment.
• OSHA Safety certificates.
• Current driver's license.
• Willingness to travel 75% of the time.

As aField Service Engineer based in Boise, Idaho you will play a critical role in supporting our customers by installing, maintaining, and troubleshooting SUSS equipment at semiconductor manufacturing sites. You will work directly with customers to ensure optimal tool performance, minimize downtime, and support the successful deployment of cutting-edge technologies. Your Tasks

• Installs new or modified equipment at customer's facility to ensure full functionality according to specifications
• Reviews performance reports and documentation from customers and field representatives, and inspects malfunctioning or damaged product to determine nature and scope of problem
• Analyzes review and inspection findings to determine source of problem, and recommends repair, replacement, or other corrective action
• Coordinates problem resolution with engineering, customer service, and other personnel to expedite repairs
• Provides on-site technical assistance to help troubleshoot and repair equipment
• Maintains records of performance reports
• Analyzes reports of technical problems to determine trends affecting future design, production, service, and maintenance processes, and recommends modifications to eliminate future problems
• Develops service handbooks and bulletins based on field investigations, engineering changes, and overall knowledge of product
• Provides a communication link between the customer and the company to help ensure that effective service is provided to the customer
• Develops and conducts training on the safe operations of the equipment and demonstrates skills to trainees, including both team members and customers

Your Profile

• Four-year college degree related to the technical skills required of the job plus a minimum of five years of related work experience; or an AA degree related to the technical skills required of the job or equivalent university program certificate plus minimum of 8-10 years of directly related experience and/or training; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
• Must have the ability to stand for four to eight hours per day, while inspecting or performing work on equipment at customers’ facilities
• OSHA Safety certificates
• Current driver's license
• Must have the ability to travel by car and/or airplane to customer or company worksites on a frequent basis, as needed
• Must be available and willing to travel 75% of the time
