Field Service Engineer – Blow Molding Machinery

Service Engineer – Field-Based | Full-Time | Smyrna, GA
Experienced Technicians OR Entry-level Grads welcome
Solid base + Per Diem + Paid Travel + OT + 100% Paid Medical (Employee)

A global manufacturing company with U.S. headquarters in Smyrna, GA is hiring a Field Service Engineer to join their technical team. This is a dynamic, high-impact role that blends mechanical, electrical, and mechatronics knowledge with travel, autonomy, and strong customer interaction.

What You’ll Do:

  • Install, commission, troubleshoot, and service high-precision industrial equipment at customer sites across the U.S. (with occasional international assignments)
  • Train plant staff on equipment use and preventive maintenance best practices
  • Use schematics and manuals to identify and resolve electrical, pneumatic, and hydraulic issues
  • Collaborate with internal engineers and technical experts to troubleshoot and resolve field problems
  • Provide timely, well-documented service reports and maintain accurate job records

Who We’re Looking For:
  • Recent Engineering grads (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics) OR technicians with 3+ years hands-on experience working with machinery (blow molding or similar industrial equipment)
  • Comfortable reading schematics and using tools to troubleshoot complex equipment
  • Polished, professional communicator who enjoys working with customers
  • Must have (or be able to obtain) a valid U.S. passport and driver’s license

Travel Details:
  • 60–70% travel – mostly domestic with occasional international
  • Paid travel time – from your doorstep to the destination
  • Weekends off – fly home or stay and explore on your own (company still pays for hotel!)

Compensation & Perks:
  • Highly Lucrative Pay Structure – $60–$80K base + daily per diem + paid door-to-door travel time + 1.5x OT — high earners make well beyond base!
  • Daily per diem for meals while traveling
  • 100% company-paid medical for employee
  • 70% company-paid medical for spouse and dependents

  • Uniforms provided

Other Details:
  • Direct hire opportunity (not contract/temp)
  • Monday–Friday schedule – no weekends
