Job summary

IMA Automation USA Inc, located in Elgin, IL, seeks a Field Service Engineer to perform machine builds, installations, and maintenance across North America. The role requires domestic and international travel up to 50–75%, ensuring on-site service at customer facilities and delivering training.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Mechatronics Engineering or related field.
• Strong communication, organizational, leadership and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.

Responsibilities

• Perform machine construction and shipping activities in-house and at customer facilities.
• Service and troubleshoot mechanical assemblies; identify, analyze and repair failures.
• Order and replace parts; perform retrofits and upgrades at customer sites.
• Travel to customer sites; respond to service calls promptly and develop customer relationships.
• Assist engineering with design problems and improvements.
