PAC is a leading provider of analytical instruments serving laboratories and process industries. We are seeking a self-motivated Field Service Technician to maintain and service customer accounts in the Greater Los Angeles area, with travel to other parts of the country and internationally as needed.

The role covers installation, configuration, calibration, certification, repair, maintenance, and training of PAC Physical Properties instruments at customer sites, building strong customer

Competenze

• Associate degree in chemistry or electronics, or equivalent experience.
• Technical B.S. degree is a plus.
• Minimum five years’ experience working with analytical equipment for the Petrochemical industry; or equivalent.

Mansioni

• Performs installations, preventive maintenance, calibration and breakdown repairs on PAC's Physical Properties lines of analytical instruments.
• Provides telephone support as needed.
• Runs calibration and check standards per ASTM or methods to ensure analyzers meet specifications.
• Performs preventive and corrective maintenance of test apparatus and peripheral equipment in the field.
• Works with sales to upsell/cross-sell PAC products and services.
• Provides technical support to ensure correct product usage.
• Assists with strategic growth and understands installed base to support customers.
• Learns and teaches PAC's new products to provide service support.
• Notifies quality of any premature or recurring issues.
• Provides product training during service visits as needed.
• Services, installs, and troubleshoots PAC software.
• Performs pre-commissioning activities including system checkout and calibration.
• Install and operate test apparatus during test cycles for various properties.
• Tests and tunes machinery, control loops, and troubleshooting.
• Utilizes tools and software for testing and repairs.
• Manages assigned inventory for repairs and documentation.
• Maintains knowledge of product specifications and expands knowledge base.
• Provides recommendations on new products/services based on customer needs.
• Mentors less experienced field personnel and customers.
• Prepares administrative tasks and NPS surveys.
