Job summary

Qcify, Inc. in Bakersfield, CA, is seeking a field service engineer to install, commission and service our AI-driven quality control equipment at customer sites.

You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, vision and software issues, train operators, collect field data, and work with product and AI teams to improve models, ensuring customers get the best possible results.

Travel primarily within California, with occasional trips elsewhere in the US as projects require.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of field service experience with industrial or processing equipment
• Good grasp of mechanical and electrical systems, PLCs and networking
• Curiosity about machine vision and AI; willingness to learn how models work and improve them
• Ability to explain technical issues clearly to plant managers and engineers
• Able to work independently, plan visits, and manage priorities on site
• Willingness to travel within California, with occasional trips elsewhere in the US

Responsibilities

• Install, commission and service Qcify equipment at customer sites
• Diagnose problems across mechanics, electronics, vision and software and fix root causes
• Build and fine-tune customer applications including image collection and model validation
• Train operators and QC staff to maximize system usage
• Provide clear field input to product and AI teams
• Plan and manage own visit schedules and priorities on site
