Qcify, Inc. in Bakersfield, CA, is seeking a field service engineer to install, commission and service our AI-driven quality control equipment at customer sites.
You will diagnose mechanical, electrical, vision and software issues, train operators, collect field data, and work with product and AI teams to improve models, ensuring customers get the best possible results.
Travel primarily within California, with occasional trips elsewhere in the US as projects require.
Qcify builds AI-driven quality control and sorting systems for food processors. Our machines inspect and sort almonds, pistachios, walnuts and other products in real time, so our customers ship product that meets spec and throw less good product away. Qcify is part of the eivis Group, together with Insort (hyperspectral sorting) and Trivision (vision inspection). The Central Valley is one of the most important markets for all three, and Bakersfield is right in the middle of it.
You'll be the person our customers in the southern Central Valley count on. Most of your time goes to Qcify equipment, meaning installation, commissioning, preventive maintenance, troubleshooting and training. You'll also work on Insort and Trivision systems when a customer needs you.
The other half of the job is what sets it apart. Our machines are only as good as the AI models behind them, and you'll be the one standing next to the line when a model isn't getting it right. We want you to collect data, tune applications in collaboration with our team, check the results against what the plant sees, and report back to our team in order to provide the best customer experience. You'll be working where field service meets applications.
