Job summary

Malvern Panalytical is seeking a Customer Support Engineer to install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair analytical instrumentation for customers across the Northwestern United States. The role requires extensive travel (approximately 80%) and a field-based setup in Illinois or Minnesota, with hybrid work elements depending on customer needs.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in electronics or related technical field.
• Hands-on troubleshooting and repair of complex instrumentation.
• Strong diagnostic and independent problem-solving skills.
• Excellent customer service and communication.
• Must travel extensively (80%).

Responsibilities

• Install analytical instrumentation from delivery through final customer sign-off.
• Perform preventive maintenance, repairs, upgrades, and troubleshooting on complex equipment.
• Diagnose and resolve instrumentation issues remotely, by phone, and on-site.
• Respond to customer inquiries within established service response guidelines.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships through proactive service delivery.
• Accurately complete service reports and documentation.
