Job summary

Northrop Grumman Marine Systems (NGMS) seeks a Field Service Engineer 4 to oversee installation, repair and troubleshooting of marine propulsion and power generation equipment aboard naval ships. This travel‑based role performs in shipyards and manufacturing environments across the continental US.

You will manage projects, provide technical direction, and write reports while communicating with customers and MLS management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in STEM with 8+ years experience; or Master’s with 5+ years.
• Ability to read engineering drawings and schematics.
• Excellent written and oral communication; strong customer service.

Responsibilities

• Oversee installation, repair and troubleshooting of marine machinery onboard naval vessels.
• Plan projects, interface with customers, and guide shop-floor personnel.
• Write technical reports, manage expenses, and initiate design changes as needed.
• Travel frequently (up to 75%), including night shifts and long assignments.
