Job summary

Korn Ferry Military partners with our client to fill the Field Service Engineer position in Washington DC. This is a higher-travel role with approximately 20% regional overnight travel.

An Electro-Mechanical background is required and a Ramsey Test will assess mechanical knowledge. Experience with electrical/electronics, multimeters, and basic IT concepts (IP addresses, servers, routers, switches) is essential.

• A Ramsey Test (technical) will be administered to assess mechanical knowledge.

Responsibilities

• Be an integral part of the company’s customer-focused business model; strong customer service skills required.
• Deliver exemplary customer service to customers in the field.
• Become proficient in servicing all company systems following field service procedures.
• Troubleshoot and repair commercial system installations.
• Coordinate with on-site contractors and facility managers for proper system installation.
• Focus on lifecycle product service including troubleshooting, repair, training end-users, and upgrades.
• Work independently from home office to accommodate customer needs and priorities.

Korn Ferry Military has partnered with our client on their search for a Field Service Engineer in Washington DC. This is a higher-travel role (approximately 20% regional, overnight.)

Strong Mechanical knowledge highly beneficial, as a multi-craft Ramsey Test will be administered!

Compensation

• $69,000-74,000 + Overtime (pays at 1.5x hourly rate)


• Vehicle Allowance


• $5,000 sign-on bonus

Travel

20% overnight regional travel.

What You Will Do

Education and Work Experience

• Skilled Technician with an Electrical or Electronic background. Electronic fundamentals are a MUST.


• 2 or 4 year college degree, technical school degree, or related experience


• Use/knowledge of multimeters & basic IT knowledge required. (Understand IP addresses, servers, routers, switches.)


• A multi-craft Ramsey Test (technical test) will be required (covers Mechanical knowledge as well.)
