We are seeking a dedicated and innovative individual to fill the role of Permanent Lead Field Service Engineer in our dynamic Engineering team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects, where you will be at the forefront of delivering high-quality engineering solutions to our clients. Our ideal candidate should be a self-starter, comfortable with being a subject matter expert, and possess a strong understanding of electrical engineering and advanced PLC and HMI programming. MUST HAVE SWITCHGEAR COMMISSIONING AND TROUBLESHOOTING.

Responsibilities

As the Lead Field Service Engineer, you will:

• Lead and manage a team of field service engineers, ensuring they are trained, competent, and motivated to deliver top-quality service.
• Work closely with our clients to understand their needs and provide optimal engineering solutions.
• Conduct advanced PLC and HMI programming tasks.
• Perform root cause analysis on complex engineering issues and devise effective solutions.
• Provide on-site electrical commissioning services, ensuring all equipment meets our rigorous quality standards.
• Troubleshoot equipment issues, providing swift and effective solutions to minimize downtime and maintain productivity.
• Liaise with other departments to ensure seamless project execution and delivery.
• Maintain up-to-date knowledge of industry advancements and emerging technologies.

Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

• A Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in a similar role, with a focus on electrical engineering and PLC and HMI programming.
• Proven experience in conducting root cause analysis and troubleshooting equipment.
• Experience in electrical commissioning.
• Strong leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a team.
• Excellent problem-solving skills, with a knack for finding innovative solutions to complex issues.
• Strong communication skills, with the ability to explain complex engineering concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
• A keen eye for detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality work.
• The ability to work well under pressure and manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
• A valid driver’s license and the willingness to travel as needed.
