This role involves developing and maintaining strong relationships with customers, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining equipment models specific to a modality or modalities in the Americas Region.

Job Description

This is a Field Service role supporting customers across parts of the US, Central, and South America. The position is based in West Chester, Ohio, USA, with 100% travel expected. The Field Service Engineer will install, perform preventive maintenance, and repair Colibrium additive manufacturing machines, working independently or in teams to ensure optimal machine performance, quality parts production, and adherence to industry standards.

Roles and Responsibilities
  • Install, perform preventive maintenance, and repair machines.
  • Perform troubleshooting on complex multi-symptom problems at the system level.
  • Collaborate with Service and Additive engineering teams to resolve mechanical, electrical, electronic, and process issues.
  • Assist in site preparation, coordinating labor and materials with minimal supervision.
  • Document all work performed using computer-based reporting procedures.
  • Maintain quality systems according to GE Aerospace Service Quality Policy.
  • Complete administrative tasks timely, including service bulletins and PM documentation.
  • Maintain daily communication with customer technicians regarding equipment status to ensure satisfaction.
Required Qualifications
  • B.Sc. in Engineering or Associate's degree with 2 years of technical experience, or a High School Diploma with 5 years of field service or electrical/mechanical technician experience.
  • Willingness to travel domestically and internationally, with 100% travel expectation.
  • Availability to work weekends and holidays as needed.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting subsystems and systems using problem-solving techniques.
  • Initiative, high standards, motivation, and innovative thinking.
  • Ability to work independently with limited guidance.
  • Commitment to updating technical knowledge continuously.
  • Excellent communication, listening, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong customer service skills, tactfully managing differing opinions.
