At Alstom, we understand transport networks and what moves people. From high-speed trains, metros, monorails, and trams, to turnkey systems, services, infrastructure, signalling and digital mobility, we offer our diverse customers the broadest portfolio in the industry. Every day, 80,000 colleagues lead the way to greener and smarter mobility worldwide, connecting cities as we reduce carbon and replace cars.

Could you be the full-time onsite Field Service Engineer in Dallas, TX, US we’re looking for?

Your future role

Take on a new challenge and apply your extensive and specialized expertise in a new cutting-edge field. You’ll work alongside dedicated and collaborative teammates. You'll be the primary source of technical support at the site, making a significant impact by addressing all aspects of the signaling system and serving as a resident “expert” in one or more major component groups. Day-to-day, you’ll work closely with teams across the business (maintenance, engineering, operations), lead and direct all maintenance and repair activities for your assigned shift, and much more.

We’ll look to you for:
  1. Providing technical support to signaling system improvements and upgrades.
  2. Demonstrating a willingness to work night shifts in an airport facility environment.
  3. Filling in as supervisor of technicians frequently.
  4. Documenting all maintenance and repair activities.
  5. Developing, delivering, and documenting technical training to technicians and other personnel.
  6. Maintaining preventive maintenance schedules in accordance with contractual requirements.
  7. Initiating and documenting field requests and improvements to systems and procedures.
All about you

We value passion and attitude over experience. That’s why we don’t expect you to have every single skill. Instead, we’ve listed some that we think will help you succeed and grow in this role:

  1. Experience or understanding of signaling systems and/or network.
  2. Familiarity with preventive maintenance scheduling and documentation.
  3. Proficiency in initiating and managing technical documentation.
  4. Capacity to support and cooperate with audits and system improvements.
  5. Adaptability to work night shifts in an airport facility environment.
  6. Knowledge of maintenance practices and O&M environments.
  7. Strong leadership and supervisory skills.
Things you’ll enjoy

Join us on a life-long transformative journey – the rail industry is here to stay, so you can grow and develop new skills and experiences throughout your career. You’ll also:

  1. Work with cutting-edge signaling systems and network maintenance in an O&M environment.
  2. Progress towards becoming a technical leader and an expert in system maintenance and innovation.
  3. Steer your career in whatever direction you choose across functions and countries.
  4. Benefit from a fair and dynamic reward package that recognises your performance and potential, plus comprehensive and competitive social coverage (life, medical, pension).
  5. Contribute to innovative projects.

You don’t need to be a train enthusiast to thrive with us. We guarantee that when you step onto one of our trains with your friends or family, you’ll be proud. If you’re up for the challenge, we’d love to hear from you!

As a global business, we’re an equal-opportunity employer that celebrates diversity across the 63 countries we operate in. We’re committed to creating an inclusive workplace for everyone.
