Job summary

Redwood Materials in Reno, NV is seeking an experienced Field Service Electrician to support solar and battery storage projects. This hands-on role involves travel to active sites, troubleshooting electrical systems, and performing maintenance with minimal supervision.

You will install, test, and commission electrical equipment, coordinate with operations and contractors, and help develop standard work instructions to improve field operations.

Qualifications

• At least 4 years of experience in electrical troubleshooting and repair, preferably in solar or battery storage systems.
• Valid electricians license (Journeyman or Master Electrician) and NABCEP certification preferred.
• Experience troubleshooting and repairing electrical systems in solar or battery storage projects.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical systems for solar and battery energy storage using appropriate tools and diagnostic equipment.
• Perform routine maintenance, inspections, and respond to field service requests for panels, inverters, battery units, and associated electrical systems.
• Install, test, and commission electrical equipment for solar and battery system projects.
• Coordinate field-based electrical work, including oversight of contractors and third-party service provider(s).
• Develop and implement standard work instructions (SWIs) for field service activities.
• Work closely with operations and site teams to support safe execution and continuous improvement.
