Job summary

Xylem is seeking a Diesel Field Service Technician to support our Wilmington, NC location by maintaining and repairing diesel-powered pumps and related electrical and mechanical components at customer sites. Training will be provided for equipment-specific tasks, with emphasis on safe, reliable field service.

Role requires on-site work, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to diagnose mechanical and electrical issues while delivering excellent customer service.

Qualifications

• Experience working with diesel systems or a combination of education and training that demonstrates the ability to perform duties.
• General diesel engine component location and identification.
• Ability to diagnose basic mechanical problems and electrical issues.
• Knowledge of safety practices and procedures.
• Ability to work independently with little supervision and communicate effectively with customers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain, troubleshoot and repair diesel pumps and their electrical and mechanical components at customer sites in the Wilmington, NC area.
• Receive equipment-specific training; apply learned skills on-site.
• Work Monday–Friday with overtime opportunities.
