Job summary

All Things Right of Way, LLC (ATROW) is seeking a field service technician to perform repairs on forestry heavy equipment at customer locations. You will diagnose, repair, and maintain equipment, and drive a company service truck as directed.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, strong customer service, and the ability to operate heavy equipment. Travel and overtime may be required, with safety and quality driving the work.

Job description

Job Summary

Responsible for performing repairs on forestry heavy equipment at customer locations, including troubleshooting, diagnostics, major component change‑outs, and preventive maintenance, without supervision, and driving a company service truck as directed.

Responsibilities
  • Provide safe, timely, and productive repairs to forestry heavy equipment.
  • Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  • Use diagnostic computer knowledge and proper testing equipment.
  • Maintain an annual repair efficiency of 90% and a maximum rework of less than 3%.
  • Remove, install, disassemble, and assemble parts and components; test and adjust assemblies.
  • Recommend repairs based on diagnosed issues.
  • Operate and move equipment being repaired as needed.
  • Order and return parts as required by work orders.
  • Complete paperwork promptly and write detailed service reports.
  • Communicate effectively with customers, vendors, and team members.
  • Follow safety rules and maintain a safe work area.
  • Keep the service truck clean and organized; own and maintain personal tools.
  • Use welding equipment when requested.
  • Travel to remote locations and adapt to flexible schedules.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications

  • Physical ability to lift objects up to 100 lb and perform frequent squatting, kneeling, and bending.
  • Availability for overtime to support customer needs.
  • Ability to read, write, and interpret technical service manuals, drawings, and prints.
  • Accurate and detailed recording of repairs on customer work orders.
  • Reliable attendance meeting all company standards.
  • Compliance with all safety requirements and use of safety equipment.
  • Cooperative teamwork and efficient communication.
  • Professional manner, conduct, and grooming in line with company policy.
