Qualifications

Opportunity Summary

Field Diesel Technicians are responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and diagnosing routine maintenance and emergency services, providing repair recommendations to customers. They work with other technicians to ensure all scheduled work is performed safely and to the customer's satisfaction.

Job Duties
  1. Perform quality repairs and maintenance on Diesel Engines/Heavy Duty Trucks as specified in manufacturer procedures.
  2. Complete all required paperwork promptly, including repair information on work orders and details for inspections.
  3. Diagnose vehicle failures by disassembling, repairing, and reassembling parts.
  4. Follow all safety standards of the company and industry.
  5. Inspect brake systems, steering, wheel bearings, and other vital parts to ensure proper operation.
Work Experience & Qualifications
  • At least 3 years of diesel repair and maintenance experience in a heavy truck or fleet dealership or shop environment.
  • Strong knowledge of systems such as A/C, brakes, emissions, and troubleshooting diesel engines.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and other computer skills.
  • Willing to work on call and irregular hours, including roadside assistance in all weather conditions.
  • Valid Nevada driver's license required.
