Job description

Field Service Diesel Technician Opportunity

Summary:

Field Diesel Technicians are responsible for troubleshooting, repairing, and diagnosing both routine maintenance and emergency services while making repair recommendations to customers. This position works with other technicians to ensure all scheduled work is performed safely and to the customer's satisfaction.

Job Duties:

  1. Perform quality repairs and maintenance on Diesel Engines/Heavy Duty Trucks as specified in manufacturer-designed procedures.
  2. Accurately complete all required paperwork (e.g., repair information on work orders, information for state and emission inspections) promptly.
  3. Diagnose vehicle failures by disassembling, repairing, and reassembling parts.
  4. Adhere to all Company and industry safety standards.
  5. Inspect brake systems, steering mechanisms, wheel bearings, and other vital parts to ensure proper operating conditions for customers.

Work Experience & Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of diesel repair and maintenance experience in a heavy truck/fleet dealership or shop environment.
  • Strong knowledge of multiple systems (e.g., A/C, brake, emission, air), diagnostics, and troubleshooting diesel engines.
  • Proficiency with computer and software skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Willing to work on call and irregular hours on the roadside in all weather conditions.
  • Must have a valid Nevada driver's license.
