Job summary

Paycom - ATS is seeking a skilled Field Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment directly on project sites. You will work with the Equipment Manager and field leadership to minimize downtime and keep machines running safely and efficiently.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Technical training or certification in diesel/heavy equipment repair is a plus.
• Experience repairing and maintaining heavy equipment preferred.
• Ability to diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using manuals and diagnostic tools.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and fuel system issues in the field.
• Perform field repairs on dozers, excavators, haul trucks, and other equipment.
• Prioritize repairs based on production needs and safety considerations.
• Execute scheduled preventive maintenance and document completion.
• Coordinate PM scheduling with Equipment Manager and field leadership.
• Maintain repair logs and equipment condition forms for traceability.
