Job summary

Paycom - ATS in New York seeks a skilled Heavy Equipment Mechanic to repair and maintain a wide range of equipment in shop and field settings. You’ll handle diesel and gas engines, hydraulics, electrical systems, and basic fabrication, working independently and on-call.

This full-time role offers steady work, company-provided tools and uniforms, and on-site support across diverse equipment including excavators, dozers, trucks, and trailers.

Qualifications

• Experience repairing heavy equipment (diesel and gas).
• Ability to troubleshoot hydraulics and electrical systems.
• Welding, cutting, and basic fabrication skills.
• Proven ability to work independently in shop and field settings.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, repair, and maintain heavy equipment and trucks.
• Work independently in shop and in the field.
• Handle emergency repairs on a 24/7 on-call schedule.
• Perform all work safely and follow company safety rules.
• Maintain professional attitude with coworkers, customers and vendors.
