Job summary

United Rentals is seeking a Field Diesel Mechanic (Service Tech III - Field Service) to perform maintenance and repairs on complex equipment in a safe, professional manner. You will travel to customer sites, support technicians, and ensure accurate documentation of work orders while delivering exceptional customer service.

You will join the world’s largest equipment rental provider, with opportunities to advance toward higher technician and leadership roles within the Service Department.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience repairing/maintaining equipment and tools.
• Advanced mechanical aptitude and working knowledge of tools.
• Strong mechanical background knowledge of engines.

Responsibilities

• Perform maintenance and repair of complex rental equipment across mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and diesel systems.
• Travel to customer job sites for repair/maintenance; keep service vehicle clean and professional.
• Assist in training lower level technicians as needed.
• Maintain paperwork and work orders daily in a timely manner.
• Assist with pickup and delivery of equipment and parts.
• Other duties as assigned.
