Job summary

DiaSorin S.p.A. is hiring an Engineer, Field Service I to service diagnostic instruments with preventive maintenance, retrofit installations, troubleshooting and repair with minimal supervision. The role covers travel across Kansas City, mid-Missouri, Jefferson City, and Fort Leonard Wood (80–85%).

The candidate should have an AA degree in Laboratory Technician/Engineering tech and 2+ years in biomedical equipment or field service, plus strong communication skills and GMP knowledge.

Qualifications

• AA Degree in Laboratory Technician, Electronics, Engineering Technician or equivalent required.
• 2+ years as Biomedical Equipment/Field Service Technician or equivalent.
• Ability to perform preventive maintenance and troubleshooting with minimal support.
• Knowledge of cGMP and GLP practices; strong electronics understanding.
• Excellent communication and ability to work independently.

Responsibilities

• Provide service and support to customers for instrument maintenance and repairs with minimal assistance.
• Receive information from management and teams regarding instrumentation.
• Maintain communications with customers, applications, and sales.
• Assist with instrument installations and problem resolution (hardware/software).
• Follow GMP and safety procedures; complete field service reports.
• Complete timecards, service reports, and software synchronization as required.
• Return used spare parts timely; comply with safety and environmental policies.
• Travel within Kansas City, mid-Missouri, Jefferson City and Fort Leonard Wood; 80–85% travel.
