Job summary

Eurofins USA BioPharma Services is seeking a Field Service Engineer I/II - Calibration Technician in the San Jose, CA area. You will perform calibrations, qualifications, preventative maintenance, and repairs on pipettes and other small laboratory instruments at customer sites and in-house labs.

The role requires a science degree and 0–3 years of related experience, with travel up to five days a week, a valid driver's license, and the ability to work in the US without sponsorship.

Qualifications

• Degree in a related science field (chemistry, analytical chemistry, electronic engineering, biotechnology, or similar).
• Ability to work in the US without sponsorship.
• Physical ability to lift and transport equipment; work in lab environments.
• Clear, respectful, and timely verbal and written communication.
• Experience with technical troubleshooting and problem solving.
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform calibration/qualification and preventative maintenance on pipettes and small lab instruments.
• Travel to customer sites to perform calibrations and PMs.
• Troubleshoot and repair equipment in field and lab.
• Manage personal parts inventory and provide timely feedback to management.
• Complete administrative paperwork accurately and maintain GDP documentation.
