Job summary

GE HealthCare in Lima, OH seeks a Biomedical Equipment Technician to diagnose, repair, and perform preventive maintenance on basic biomedical equipment at customer sites. You will respond to service calls and document actions.

Under supervision, you will evaluate issues, perform repairs, and support safety inspections while collaborating with teammates and following GE policies and hospital procedures. Willingness to travel within the area and participate in on-call rotation is expected.

Qualifications

• Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Biomedical, Mechanical Engineering or related field (or equivalent military education).
• 2+ years of experience servicing electrical, electronics, IT or mechanical equipment.
• Must comply with background checks and immunization/testing requirements.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate basic equipment issues under supervision and perform repairs and PM.
• Assist more experienced technicians on more complex repairs.
• Maintain communication with customers and document service actions.
• Follow GE policies, procedures and hospital protocols.
• Work with local team to ensure efficient service delivery and on-call readiness.

Education

Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering or related field

Equivalent military education or GEHC internship program
