Job summary

Lexicon Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician in Little Rock, AR, to diagnose, repair and modify shop equipment and support structures. The role focuses on ensuring seamless facility operations with a strong emphasis on safety and compliance.

The technician will set up and maintain production equipment, perform preventive maintenance, and troubleshoot electrical and PLC systems. Overtime, weekends, and shift changes may be required as part of a safety‑sensitive position.

Qualifications

  • Two years’ experience in industrial machine maintenance.
  • Ability to read electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.
  • Experience with gas, diesel, pneumatics and hydraulic equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose, repair and modify shop equipment and support structures.
  • Set up, install, adjust and maintain production equipment and conveyors.
  • Perform routine and preventative maintenance on equipment.
  • Identify problems and evaluate options for solutions.
  • Monitor gauges and indicators to ensure proper operation.
  • Troubleshoot high/low voltage electrical systems and PLCs.
  • Work overtime, weekends and changing shifts as needed.
  • Maintain safety and QA/QC programs in compliance with OSHA.

Maintenance Technician Overview:

Maintenance Technician Pay Range:

  • $21-$28hr
  • Paid WEEKLY

Maintenance Technician Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Perform diagnostics, repairs, and modifications of all shop equipment and support structures.
  • Set up, install, adjust, and maintain production equipment, conveyors, automation, pneumatics, hydraulics pumps, encoders, variable frequency drives, etc.
  • Perform routine, productive, and preventative maintenance on equipment and determining what kind of maintenance is needed.
  • Identify complex problems and review related information to develop and evaluate options to find solutions.
  • Watch gauges, dials, and other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly.
  • High and low voltage electrical troubleshooting.
  • PLC troubleshooting, observe mechanical devices in operation and listens to their sounds to locate causes of trouble.
  • Able to work overtime, weekends, and changing shifts as needed. Regular, punctual attendance is required.
  • Able to work in time sensitive and sometimes stressful situations, with the ability to work independently and follow directions.
  • Must be organized, thorough, reliable, and dependable with a high level of attention to detail.
  • Responsible for adhering to all company safety and QA/QC programs and OSHA regulations.

Maintenance Technician Qualifications:

  • Minimum two years’ experience in industrial machine maintenance, preferably in manufacturing setting.
  • Able to read electrical schematics, mechanical drawings, and machine breakdowns.
  • Must be familiar with control operations of equipment systems and have experience with gas, diesel, pneumatics, and hydraulic equipment.

Maintenance Technician Physical Demands:

  • Able to lift, push and pull more than 50 pounds frequently.
  • Able to lift your own weight while climbing ladders, steel bracing, stairs, etc.
  • Able to crawl in small or tight places.
  • Excessive bending, stooping, and carrying.
  • Must be able to handle exposure to temperature fluctuations, dust, noise, and able to be around high voltage electromagnetic fields.

This role is classified as safety sensitive. Candidates must show the capacity to proactively initiate, effectively lead, and consistently uphold safety policies, practices, procedures, and housekeeping standards. Compliance with this requirement is a fundamental condition for employment.
