Job summary

Millennium Control Systems Llc in Beachwood, OH is seeking a Field Service Engineer to install, test, and commission our automation systems both in-house and on-site.

You will configure VFDs, troubleshoot motor control, supervise electrical contractors, and coordinate with engineers to ensure reliable operation. Travel up to 75% is required; a strong electrical background and PLC familiarity are essential.

Qualifications

Associate’s degree in electrical technology or related field.
Two years of experience in industrial electrical installations.
Ability to read electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
Knowledge of motor control and electrical safety.
Experience with PLCs and industrial communication protocols is a plus.
Willingness to travel 50–75%.
Strong problem-solving and communication skills.

Responsibilities

In-house: Assemble and test control panels; configure and commission VFDs; document procedures.
On-site: Supervise electrical contractors; perform installations; power up panels; verify I/O; troubleshoot.
Assist in commissioning: program uploading, VFD parameter adjustments, and system testing.
Train maintenance personnel; document activities for future reference.
