Job summary

Grenzebach Hellas is seeking a Field Service Engineer to support our automation systems from in-house testing to on-site commissioning. You will configure, commission, and troubleshoot VFDs, supervise electrical contractors, and ensure reliable operation of control panels with our engineering teams.

The role requires an electrical background, ability to read schematics, and a readiness for domestic travel. You will document activities, train staff, and maintain safety standards while building

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in electrical technology or equivalent experience.
• Two years of experience in industrial electrical installations.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and wiring diagrams.
• Strong understanding of AC/DC power, motor control, and electrical safety protocols.
• Valid driver's license and willingness to travel domestically 50-75%.
• PLC experience and familiarity with industrial communication protocols is a plus.

Responsibilities

• In-house assembly and testing of control panels before deployment.
• Configure, commission, and troubleshoot VFDs under controlled conditions.
• Supervise electrical contractors during on-site installations.
• Power up control panels and verify communication with machinery.
• Document installation and commissioning activities for future reference.
• Train maintenance personnel on basic operation and troubleshooting.
• Maintain a safe and organized work environment.
