Selectek in Houston, TX seeks a Field Service Associate to ensure projects align with plans, specs, and company vision. You will conduct field inspections, file reports, and coordinate with architects, contractors, and team leads.

The role requires a BS in Engineering/Construction Science, 1–2 years in MEP construction or consulting, and strong ability to read drawings and understand codes. Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and MS Office is expected.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Construction Science or related field.
  • Minimum 1–2 years' experience in MEP construction or consulting environment; schools preferred.
  • Field project management experience in an MEP consulting environment.
  • Ability to read construction documents, including MEP drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct field inspections and file reports assigned by Director of Field Services.
  • Collaborate with Directors, Principals and Team Leads to ensure projects meet standards per specifications/drawings.
  • Ensure all field reports are completed in a timely manner.
  • Serve as liaison to clients and contractors during construction administration.
  • Create and maintain a master inspection schedule with architects and contractors.
  • Review specifications, shop drawings, addenda and other construction documents.
  • Participate in career development training as assigned by supervisor or HR Manager.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Job description

Needed immediately: Field Service Associate in Houston, TX. This role will serve as a presence in the construction administration process, ensuring that each project is built to design plans and specifications and aligns with the company's vision and mission

Required:
  • Bachelor of Science Degree in Engineering, Construction Science or related field
  • Previous experience in an MEP construction or consulting environment, for schools is preferred * Minimum 1-2 years' experience
  • Previous experience in field project management in an MEP consulting environment
  • Ability to read construction documents, including MEP drawings and specifications
  • Knowledge of building codes
  • Knowledge in the construction of power distribution, power and lighting, data networks, telephone and intercom systems, fire alarm systems, security and access control systems, and other standard electrical systems
  • Knowledge in the construction of HVAC systems, temperature controls, and other standard mechanical systems
  • Knowledge in the construction of domestic water systems, hot water systems, storm water systems, sanitary waste and vent systems, acid waste systems, fire sprinkler systems, compressed air systems
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Exceptional attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects under strict deadlines
  • Ability to work well on a team
  • Exceptional written and verbal skills
  • Knowledge of and experience with AutoCAD, Revit, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office Suite (ability to read)
