Job summary

Jobot is seeking an on-site Construction Support Specialist in the Houston area. You will perform site inspections, assist with administration, and review MEP drawings to identify issues, coordinating with engineers, architects, and contractors.

Ideal candidates have 1–2 years in construction/engineering, strong reading and communication skills, and willingness to travel to active sites. The role offers growth in a dynamic MEP consulting environment with competitive benefits.

Qualifications

What You’ll Do

• Perform construction site inspections and field observations on active projects.
• Assist with construction administration throughout the project lifecycle.
• Review construction documents, specifications, and MEP drawings to identify potential issues or discrepancies.
• Coordinate with engineers, architects, contractors, and other project stakeholders.
• Document field conditions, project progress, and potential deficiencies.
• Assist with reviewing RFIs, submittals, and other construction documentation.
• Help ensure work is being completed in accordance with the design, specifications, and applicable building codes.
• Communicate project updates and field findings to the appropriate project team members.
• Travel to project sites throughout the Houston area and surrounding markets.

What We’re Looking For

• 1–2 years of professional experience in construction, engineering, MEP, or a related field.
• Previous experience with construction administration and/or site inspections.
• Ability to read and understand construction documents and MEP drawings.
• Working knowledge of building codes and construction practices.
• Strong organizational and project coordination skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication.
• Comfortable working both independently in the field and as part of a project team.
• Willingness to travel to active construction sites.
• MEP construction or consulting experience is preferred.
