Job summary

CyberCoders in Austin, TX is seeking a Construction Field Coordinator to oversee MEP installations on site and support the design team with submittals, RFIs, addenda, and project documentation.

You will perform site visits, verify compliance with plans and codes, and coordinate with contractors and engineers to keep projects on schedule. This role requires strong knowledge of MEP systems and field-administration experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Architecture, or equivalent experience.
• 3+ years of construction administration experience with direct field observation responsibilities.
• Strong knowledge of MEP systems and ability to assess installations against plans and specs.
• Comfortable interfacing with superintendents, subcontractors, and inspectors on job sites.
• Working knowledge of construction contract documents and processes (AIA, submittals, RFIs, change orders, closeout).
• Proficiency with construction management software such as Procore, PlanGrid, BIM 360, Bluebeam, and MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Perform regular site visits to observe mechanical, electrical, and plumbing installations and confirm compliance with drawings, specifications, and codes
• Document field observations, prepare reports, and communicate issues to project managers and engineers
• Manage submittals, RFIs, addenda, and shop drawing workflows, ensuring timely review and response
• Maintain project logs including daily reports, RFI and submittal logs, change orders, punch lists, and meeting minutes
• Support schedule maintenance by coordinating with superintendents and subcontractors to resolve field issues

Salary: $85,000 - $100,000 + Potential Bonus

Founded in the early 2000s, we are a 100 employee firm with 25-30 staff in our Austin office. We provide full service mechanical, electrical, and plumbing engineering solutions for commercial, institutional, and industrial projects. Our portfolio spans education campuses, healthcare clinics, corporate and government facilities, and recreation centers. At this location, the focus is on delivering safe, code compliant, and cost effective systems integrated into multidisciplinary building designs.

The Construction Field Coordinator will play a key role in project delivery by spending significant time on job sites observing MEP installations, verifying compliance with plans and specifications, and coordinating with contractors and engineers. In addition, this role will support the design team in the office by managing submittals, RFIs, addenda, and project documentation.
