Job summary

Hitachi Global Air Power in Livermore, CA is hiring an entry-level Apprentice to learn the essentials of preventive maintenance and startup procedures for compressed air systems. You will work alongside experienced service technicians and a Field Service Manager, gaining hands-on experience and building a long-term career in industrial service.

This role requires a High School Diploma or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent is required.
• Associate degree or technical trade training is a plus.
• Experience with compressor maintenance is preferred.
• Strong communication skills and ability to read schematics are essential.
• Proficient with Microsoft Office and able to work with all levels of the organization.
• Must have a valid driver’s license and be able to lift 50 lbs.

Responsibilities

• Assist on field service jobs with technicians and the Field Service Manager.
• Learn preventive maintenance and basic troubleshooting.
• Adjust controls and perform start-ups on equipment.
• Support two-person jobs and equipment cleaning.
• Travel to field sites and complete required admin tasks.
• Follow safety policies and maintain professional customer relations.
