Job summary

Hitachi Global Air Power in Albuquerque, NM is seeking an entry-level Apprentice to learn under seasoned field service technicians and a field service manager. This role focuses on preventive maintenance, basic troubleshooting, equipment startups, and learning service requirements while growing in a team environment.

The position requires mechanical inclination, reliability, a valid driver's license, and the ability to lift up to 50 lbs.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Associate degree a plus.
• Technical Trade School a plus.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to learn on the job.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Must be fluent in English and have a valid driver's license.

Responsibilities

• Field exposure with Technicians and Field Service Manager.
• Learn PM and basic troubleshooting.
• Understand service requirements.
• Learn to adjust controls and startups.
• Support two-person jobs.
• Equipment cleaning.
• Travel with Technicians for basic troubleshooting on Sullair products.
• Submit expense reports and timecards.
• Follow safety policies and procedures.
• Project a professional, customer-oriented image.
• Complete duties per company standards.
• Must be fluent in English and hold a valid driver's license.
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Work in diverse environments with noise and extreme temperatures.
• Occasional overnight travel.
