Job summary

Gilder Search Group is seeking an experienced Security Service Specialist to troubleshoot, repair, and maintain access control, CCTV, intrusion, intercom, and fire alarm systems for an established customer base. The ideal candidate has strong networking knowledge, excellent customer service skills, and the ability to work independently while supporting team members.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• 3+ years installing or servicing electronic security systems.
• Knowledge of LAN/WAN networking, IP addressing, PoE switches, and network troubleshooting.
• Experience with access control, CCTV, and fire alarm platforms listed above.

Responsibilities

• Service and repair electronic security systems including access control, CCTV, intrusion, intercom, and fire alarm systems.
• Troubleshoot system and network issues using documentation and manufacturer support.
• Build strong customer relationships and provide system training when needed.
• Document service activities with photos/videos of repairs.
• Complete small system additions and upgrades.
• Determine warranty, maintenance, and billable repair status and communicate costs to customers.
• Install and repair wiring and conduit in accordance with NEC standards.
• Read blueprints, system drawings, and specifications.
• Use testing tools such as multimeters, cable testers, and toners.
• Mentor less experienced technicians.
• Submit daily and weekly service reports.
• Participate in on-call rotations and work overtime as needed.
• Travel up to 20%.
