Job summary

FirstEnergy is seeking a Physical Security Field Representative II to support regulatory compliance and security programs across the Akron service territory. You will lead risk assessments, coordinate audits, and liaise with law enforcement and internal teams.

The role requires travel to FE locations, strong communication, and experience with security technologies (RAAD, ProWatch, Salto). On-site at FirstEnergy HQ in Akron, OH.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related discipline preferred, along with a minimum of 4 years professional work experience.
• In lieu of a degree, 4 years professional work experience required.
• Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Ability to write and present general and training communications.
• Ability to work with cross functional groups and manage multiple tasks.

Responsibilities

• Ensuring regulatory compliance to NERC CIP Standards by guiding risk management and security programs.
• Maintaining FE policies and procedures related to NERC CIP and physical security best practices.
• Developing physical security threat and risk assessments with mitigation plans.
• Coordinating audits and supporting regulatory investigations with internal resources or regulators.
• Escorting security technology vendors and visitors to CIP locations as needed.
• Travel to FE locations within service territory (100% travel).
