Job summary

Network Cabling Services is seeking a Security/Access Control Technician to support commercial, industrial, and data center projects across the Houston area. The role involves hands-on work with access control systems, cameras, and related security technologies.

You will install, configure, and maintain card readers, biometric systems, and door controllers, troubleshoot CCTV and IP cameras, and perform routine maintenance.

Qualifications

• Experience with installation and maintenance of access control systems.
• Familiarity with BICSI, EIA/TIA, or NEC standards is a plus
• Valid Driver's License required
• Willingness to travel to multiple project sites
• Experience at commercial, industrial, and data center sites

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, and maintain access control systems (card readers, keypads, biometric systems)
• Install and troubleshoot security cameras and surveillance systems
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on security equipment
• Troubleshoot networked security devices and software
• Collaborate with clients to ensure security systems meet operational needs and compliance standards
• Maintain accurate records of work performed, system configurations, and maintenance
