Job summary

Arcadis is seeking an entry-level Geologist or Environmental Scientist to join our Hanover, MD team. The role blends fieldwork and office tasks, with up to 80% field time. You’ll work with a mentorship-minded team to grow professionally while supporting environmental characterization, investigations, and remediation efforts.

The position requires strong communication, independence, and team collaboration. Travel within the U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's of Science in Geology, Hydrogeology, or closely related field.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Fieldwork requires travel and safety focus.

Responsibilities

• Assist PMs and TMs in planning environmental site characterization, investigation and remediation.
• Conduct fieldwork including soil, groundwater, and vapor sampling with regional travel.
• Prepare subcontracts, write technical reports and data interpretation.
• Support remediation system operation and maintenance, safety plans and regulatory reviews.
