Job summary

RESPEC Inc. seeks a field scientist to support environmental and solid waste projects across West Virginia, Ohio, Maryland, and Pennsylvania.

You will perform field sampling of water, soil, air, and materials, and assist with investigations in engineering, geologic, and hydrogeologic disciplines. In the office, you will contribute to data analysis and report preparation while expanding your technical knowledge through diverse project experiences.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in Environmental Science.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong organizational skills, self-motivation, and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
• Willingness to perform fieldwork year-round, potentially for extended durations.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with CAD or ArcGIS is a plus.

Additional Information

Compensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise. RESPEC is a 100 percent employee-owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) after a qualifying period.
