Job summary

RESPEC seeks a field scientist to assist with our environmental and solid waste projects across West Virginia, Ohio, Maryland, and Pennsylvania. Primary activities include field sampling of water, soil, air and materials; support engineering, geologic, hydrogeologic, and environmental investigations; and data analysis and report preparation.

The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s or Associate degree in Environmental Science, 0–2 years of relevant experience, strong organizational and communication

• Bachelor’s or associate degree in Environmental Science.
• 0–2 years of relevant experience.
• Strong organizational, self-motivation, and collaborative work style.
• Willingness to perform fieldwork year-round, potentially for extended durations.
• Excellent technical writing and communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Experience with CAD or ArcGIS is a plus.

Compensation: Salary depends on experience and expertise. RESPEC is a 100 percent employee-owned company and employees are eligible for participation in the Employee Stock Ownership Plan (ESOP) after a qualifying period.
