Job summary

CACI International is seeking an Engineering Technician to support TIGS field engineering and sustainment, applying engineering concepts to integration, testing, and maintenance of complex SATCOM systems. The role includes field deployments, training government customers, and collaboration with engineers, product support, and vendors.

The candidate should have 10+ years in DoD SATCOM, strong diagnostic skills, and experience with RF/test equipment, with the ability to travel up to 50% and work

Qualifications

• Minimum ten years of progressively responsible experience in DoD SATCOM, field engineering, or related missions.
• Hands-on experience deploying, integrating, testing, and sustaining complex communications systems.
• Experience with RF, networking, and depot maintenance activities.
• Ability to travel up to 50% and work in CONUS/OCONUS environments.
• Active TS/SCI clearance required.

Responsibilities

• Lead and perform system integration, deployment, setup, and operational checkout of TIGS and related communications systems.
• Provide troubleshooting across RF, networking, power, and environmental subsystems; diagnose and repair faults.
• Conduct RF testing and verification using spectrum/network analyzers and related equipment; document results.
• Support depot sustainment, configuration validation, and readiness assessments; document actions and risks.
• Create and review technical procedures, maintenance instructions, and training materials for stakeholders.
