Job summary

KeyMe Locksmiths is hiring a Field Sales Technician to join our mobile team. You’ll engage customers, promote on‑the‑spot car key duplication, and close sales while performing hands‑on automotive work. Training is provided; prior key cutting experience is a plus but not required.

Ideal candidates are enthusiastic, customer‑facing, and comfortable in a fast‑paced retail setting. You’ll travel to different worksites, lift up to 50 lbs, and represent a growing nationwide network.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods.
• Willing and able to travel to different worksites.
• Background check required.
• Flexible schedule including weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Engage customers and promote KeyMe’s on-the-spot car key duplication service.
• Explain services, build trust, and close sales.
• Cut, clone, and program automotive keys, fobs, and remotes across makes and models.
• Troubleshoot basic cutting and programming issues.
• Test keys for accuracy and functionality before handoff.
• Provide a positive customer experience from start to finish.
• Set up and maintain the van, equipment, tools, and inventory.

About The Role

We’re looking for a Field Sales Technician to join our team in a unique role that combines customer-facing sales with hands‑on automotive work. You’ll represent KeyMe, engage customers, promote our services, and cut and program automotive keys on the spot.

Experience cutting and programming automotive keys is a plus, but not required! We provide full training and a willingness to learn are key. A strong interest in cars or experience in the automotive industry (parts, service, or sales) is also a plus.

We’ve seen success from people coming from a variety of backgrounds, including automotive, locksmith, retail, and sales.

What We’re Looking For

• Outgoing, enthusiastic, and comfortable talking with customers in a fast‑paced retail environment
• Hands‑on, tech‑savvy, and willing to learn new technical skills
• Dependable, punctual, and comfortable working independently
• High school diploma or GED
• Valid driver’s license and clean driving record
• Available to work a variable schedule, including weekends and holidays. Schedule and days off may vary based on business needs
• Able to lift up to 50 lbs and stand for extended periods
• Able to travel to different worksites
• Must pass a background check.
