Job summary

Premier Food Supplies, LLC in Troy, MI is seeking a field sales professional to drive weekly orders, visit clients, upsell, and manage product promotions across grocery and restaurant accounts.

You will analyze sales data, support collections, participate in marketing activities, and travel up to 75% to grow market share in the Midwest.

Qualifications include 2–5 years in field sales, English and Hindi bilingual preferred, proficiency with MS Office, and a valid driver’s license.

Qualifications

• Capable of occasional lifting up to 60 lbs.

• Sales Management: Consistently collect and grow weekly sales orders from assigned accounts.
• Client Visits: Regularly visit clients and conduct follow-up calls to assess needs, manage inventory, enhance sales through upselling/cross‑selling, promote trials/samples, and maintain promotion awareness.
• Product Expertise: Master product knowledge to provide tailored recommendations.
• Collections Support: Support the collections team in securing timely payments from accounts, including necessary follow‑ups.
• Relationship Cultivation: Cultivate strong relationships with grocery and restaurant clients, advising on planogram planning, product selections, and order processes.
• Market Growth: Identify and pursue new business opportunities within the Indian food market.
• Issue Resolution: Address customer inquiries and resolve issues swiftly, logging and tracking significant concerns for resolution.
• Data Analysis: Analyze sales data to increase market share and wallet size.
• Market Insights: Stay informed about market trends and competitors, providing regular insights and reports to management.
• Strategy Implementation: Collaborate with the business strategy team to implement sales insights in daily account management.
• Marketing Participation: Participate in field marketing activities, product demos, and industry events to penetrate new markets.
• Lead Generation: Engage in cold calling to generate new client leads.
• Reporting: Provide management with reports on customer needs, potential new products or services, and competitive activities.
• Technology Adoption: Assist customers in adopting new technologies and e‑commerce platforms.
• Additional Duties: Perform additional duties as required to meet business needs.

Requirements

Minimum Qualifications

• 2-5 years of field sales experience in any of the following industries: food & beverage, hospitality, distribution, or FMCG/CPG (Indian or South Asian food is a plus).
• Bilingual in English and Hindi; additional South Asian languages a plus.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office or Google Suite.
• Valid driver’s license and clean record; willing to travel up to 75%.
• Capable of occasionally lifting up to 60 lbs.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Work Experience in South Asian (Indian) grocery or restaurant sales.
• Familiar with diverse markets; adept at working in fast‑paced settings.
• Previous experience with desktop and/or tablet‑based sales order management tools (e.g. Quickbooks, Sage, Netsuite, SAP, Odoo)

Physical Requirements

• Significant field work, at least 75% travel.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, with required evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
• Office is based in Troy, Michigan; Employee can be based anywhere in the Midwest
• Responsibilities will require frequent travel between office and customer locations for site visits.
