Job summary

Musco is seeking a Sales Representative for our Operational Sales Team, based in Nashville or Knoxville. The role focuses on developing contractor and end-user relationships, assessing lighting needs, and presenting Musco products to drive projects forward.

The ideal candidate has 3+ years of sales experience, strong presentation and communication skills, and a proactive, entrepreneurial mindset. Willingness to travel, including nights, is required; local mileage is reimbursed.

Qualifications

• A Bachelor's degree in Sports Management, Business, Sales, Entrepreneurship, or related field is preferred.
• Minimum of 3 years of previous sales experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication; capable of presenting to groups.
• Self-disciplined, independent work style with collaborative team support.
• Highly motivated with ownership mentality and entrepreneurial spirit.
• Electrical experience and working with contractors is preferred.
• Willingness to travel, including evenings and overnights; local travel reimbursed.
• Familiarity with Musco solutions is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop relationships with contractors, specifiers and end-users in the market.
• Assess lighting needs and recommend Musco products and services.
• Present Musco offerings using sales tools, meetings, field visits and trade shows.
• Prepare budget estimates using pricing tools.
• Identify relationships and decision makers to maximize Musco’s project position.
• Collaborate with team to analyze projects from sales, business, and engineering perspectives.
• Negotiate prices, credit terms and collections.
• Participate in field work such as measurements, site visits, installations, and night tests.
• Keep sales database up to date and communicate needs with Regional Sales Coordinator.
• Attend corporate meetings and make new business development calls.
