Job summary

Musco Sports Lighting is seeking a Sales Representative for Tennessee, based in Nashville or Knoxville. The role involves developing relationships with contractors, specifiers and end users to assess lighting needs and propose Musco solutions.

You will present products in various settings, prepare budget estimates and drive new business. The position requires the ability to travel, including evenings and overnights, and a strong sales background with excellent communication skills.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred in sports management, business, sales, entrepreneurship or related field.
• Minimum of 3 years of previous sales experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication with the ability to present to groups.
• Willingness to travel evenings and overnights; operate outside normal business hours.

Responsibilities

• Develop communication networks with contractors, specifiers and end users.
• Assess lighting needs and determine Musco products and services.
• Present Musco offerings via presentations, meetings, field visits and trade shows.
• Prepare budget estimates using pricing tools.
• Identify key decision makers to maximize Musco's position on projects.
• Collaborate with team to analyze projects from sales, business and engineering perspectives.
• Negotiate prices and terms including credit and collections.
• Participate in field work: measurements, pole locations, installations, tests, warranty inspections.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date sales database information.
• Coordinate with Regional Sales Coordinator on needs and resource allocation.
• Attend corporate meetings and conference calls; engage in new business development calls.
