Job summary

Mediacom Communications is seeking a Direct Sales Representative to sell internet, video, home phone, and mobile services. You will be trained with a strong support system including management coaching, weekly team meetings, and in-field guidance to help you meet and exceed targets.

Base salary starts at $30,000 with a guaranteed first-year commission of $30,000, plus unlimited commission potential. Expect door-to-door activity, flexible hours, and travel within territories as part of the role.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• One year of direct sales or outside sales experience preferred but not required.
• Must be sales-driven, team-oriented and customer-focused.
• Valid driver’s license and own vehicle required.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Obtain sales by canvassing door to door, using proven sales techniques and your skills to meet targets.
• Complete appropriate paperwork and present payment options for customer purchases.
• Canvassing door to door daily from 11am – 8pm; this is when most prospects are home.
• Receive performance updates and support from your supervisor/manager.
• Travel within Mediacom territory; up to two weeks at a time; costs covered by Mediacom.
