Job summary

Mission Foods is seeking a Sales Specialist to support its sales force in Indianapolis. You will deliver racks, build displays to encourage purchases, and prospect for new business while strengthening trade relationships.

Requirements include a High School Diploma or GED, about 2 years in sales/merchandising, and the ability to lift up to 40 pounds. A valid driver’s license is required and English/Spanish bilingualism is strongly preferred.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required; some college preferred.
• 2 years of related experience in sales and/or merchandising.
• Equivalent combination of related education and/or experience may be considered.

Responsibilities

• Deliver racks and build displays to encourage purchases.
• Prospect for new business and sell products and incremental space/displays.
• Develop strong trade relationships with customers and identify service issues.
• Ensure planograms (POGs) are used to increase customer purchases and determine product placement.
• Inspect and maintain sales tag integrity and identify voids.
• Communicate with Area Sales Manager and District Sales Managers daily/weekly.
• Identify service issues and potential issues.
• Keep warehouses clean and maintained.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
