Job summary

Core & Main is seeking a sales consultant to profitably grow sales across core and emerging industries. You will prospect for new accounts, retain existing ones, and expand opportunities with current customers.

The role may require operating a company or personal vehicle and travel, with an MVR check required for employment. You will develop and sustain relationships with key decision makers, coordinate with vendors and internal teams to resolve issues, and drive orders and service opportunities

Qualifications

• BS/BA in a related discipline.
• 2-5 years of experience in a related field; certification is required in some areas OR MS/MA and generally 2-4 years of experience.
• Certification is required in some areas.

Responsibilities

• Conducts on-site customer visits with new and existing customers.
• Manages sales volume with an existing group of customers, prospects to expand the customer base.
• Forecasts, prospects, and bids for new business across customers and markets.
• Maintains existing and builds new customer partnerships.
• Develops and sustains sales relationships with key decision makers across the organization.
• Shares market and competitor information with applicable channels and establishes relationships.
• Coordinates with customers, vendors, Credit, and A/R to resolve service issues and fulfill orders.
